Junior Handicap
How to obtain a Handicap

To get a novice handicap, (for boys and girls) you must play three rounds of 9 holes off the yellow pots, and have another person with a playing handicap to mark the card, stating that you played off yellow pots. Give the marked cards to Tim in the Pro shop.

To get a 'Club Handicap' of 29 - 54, you must play three rounds of golf, 18 holes each round, (it is better to submit 3 x 18 holes, as you could qualify for a full handicap if it works out better than 29) however you can submit a 9 hole round, from the novice yellow pots. A card must be marked by a playing handicap person for each round, and pass them on to Tim in the Pro shop stating that you played off the novice yellow pots and would like a club handicap.

You may be requested to play around of golf with a junior committee member, before we issue your handicap. These will be displayed around the junior notice board. You can only play in junior competitions with a 'Club handicap'.

To get a full handicap of 28 or better, you must play 3 full rounds of golf off the white pots, and have the cards marked by another person. You need 3 cards of less than 105 for a full handicap. Mark on top of your card "for handciap played off white pots and your name" and give the card to Tim in the Pro shop.

If you require any help with junior handicaps please do not hesitate to contact Jan Cunningham.
