General By entering the Competition you agree that any personal data or images relating to your entry can be used by the Competition Sponsors, the Midlands Masters Pairs Committee, Golfingdays (event organisers), Notts GC & Kedleston Park GC, but will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s consent. Data and images relating to entrants will be retained for a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist the Midlands Masters Pair’s Committee to pre advise past entrants of new competitions, to operate future competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the Competition. All prize winners (including Hole in One) are obliged to take part in reasonable promotional activities and the Midland Golf Classic Committee reserves the right to use the names and addresses and images of winners in any publicity both in paper and online. Competitors who do not respond within 14 days of this notice being issued will be deemed to be if full agreement with its content. Registration On arrival, you should register in the clubhouse before progressing to the first tee. All players should be at the 1st tee 10 minutes prior to their teetime. All players must be a member of a recognised 18 hole golf club and possess a CDH number with an active competition handicap status. Any player with an INACTIVE handicap, or any player not in possession of a valid handicap certificate from their golf club, will render the pairing/team/individual ineligible to win a prize. Payment We accept payment by Paypal, Direct Bank Transfer or Cheque payable to Kedleston Park Golf Club before we can confirm your place. Payment in full is required at time of entry. As soon as we have received payment we will be in a position to confirm your entry. We will not confirm your entry into an event without payment. If we have 2 applications and only 1 space remaining in an event, the priority will be given to the pair who has paid first. Tee Times When you book you request a tee time preference. This is a preference and not a guaranteed tee time. We do our best to accommodate any tee time preferences but tees are drawn and may not match your request. Please bear in mind when booking that you could be given a tee time up to 4 hours outside your requested time. Day 2’s teetimes will be based on where you stand in the competition after day 1. If you do well on day 1 expect to be off in the last groups on day 2 and vice versa. Competition Format: Pairs Better ball Stableford. Maximum Handicap is 24. The registered home club of all players at the time of entering the competition must be a recognised 18 hole golf course affiliated to the National Union. All players must possess a CDH number with an active handicap. The event will be played under the R&A Rules of Golf, The Conditions of Competition of the Midland Golf Classic and the local rules of the host Golf Club The best aggregate points scored over the two rounds will win The Midland Golf Classic There will also be a daily challenge at each course. The result for The Golf Classic will be determined by card play-off as follows: Best Final Round score Best last nine holes of the Final Round Best last six holes of the Final Round Best last three holes of the Final Round Best last hole of the Final Round Sudden-death from hole one of the Final Round If still tied the above procedure will apply to Round one The card play off for the individual days at each venue will be as follows: Best last nine holes Best last six holes Best last three holes Best last hole Sudden-death from hole one Cancellation Policy Cancellation charges are based on the total cost of the pair into the event in question. Dates are taken from the first day of the event. Cancelling more than 90 days prior to an event starting – Full refund less a £20 administration charge Cancelling between 60-90 days before the event — 25% of the total list price of the event cancellation charge 30-59 Days — 50% of the total list price of the event cancellation charge. Less than 30 Days — 100% of the total fees paid cancellation charge. Hole In One Rules Each Hole in One prize is subject to very specific rules and qualification requirements. Copies of the rules are available and can be obtained from the Administrator via an email request. A prize giving will take place directly following the completion of the competition including Midland Masters 2 round aggregate score Prizes based on entries Individual Challenge Prizes based on entries Nearest the pin challenge at each venue Hole in One prize Bad Weather Clause If in the unfortunate occurrence, play is interrupted by bad weather rendering the golf course unplayable, a minimum of nine holes must be completed by every competitor in the field in order to contribute to the two round aggregate total and to qualify for the day prizes. If nine holes cannot be completed, then the day’s play will be abandoned and the tournament played over one round. In this unlikely event, both of the courses will make available an even number of future discount rounds of which the competitors affected will be offered £50 credit for a round of golf at ONE of the venues.
